De processione mundi de D. Gundisalvo. Texto del Codex Oxoniensis Coll. Oriel n. 7.

La autora ha estudiado el texto del «De Processione mundi» en el manuscrito de Oxford (col. Oriel n. 7), que en la edición de 1925 de G. Büllow no pudo ser trabajado directamente. En el artículo examina las relaciones con los otros tres manuscritos antes estudiados, Parisinus (Paris. Bibliothèque Nationale. Lat. n. 6443), Laodunensis (Laon. Bibliothèque Municipale n. 412) y Vaticanus (Biblioteca Vaticana. Lat. n. 2186). El manuscrito de Oxford manif iesta cierta tendencia a las expresiones abreviadas; ofrece pequeñas mejoras del texto; apoya algunas lecturas que antes se apoyaban sólo en V o L y V; y se muestra conforme con ciertas conjeturas sugeridas por Büllow. Respecto a las relaciones entre los mss., dif iculta considerar el grupo POL como una unidad, porque hay lecturas de cierto interés, en que O y V coinciden, o, en ocasiones OL y V; no obstante, en muchas otras O y P mantienen su concordancia

Effects of the speed ratio on the efficiency of planetary mills

The ignition time (tig) of the mechanically induced self-sustaining reaction (MSR) process involving the formation of TiB2 from Ti/2B elemental mixtures was used to study the influence of the ratio (k = -ωv/ωd) between the rotational speed of the supporting disc (ωd) and vials (ωv) on the milling efficiency of a Pulverisette 4 planetary mill. The variation of the inverse of the ignition time (1/tig), which is directly related to the milling power provided by the planetary mill, with the process conditions has shown that it is not possible to find a single k value as optimal independently of the experimental conditions used (ωd and the ball-to-powder ratio, BPR). Moreover, it was observed that the lowest milling efficiency (longer tig values) was found for k = 1, which is the usual value employed in routine laboratory works. The best efficiencies were found for the larger k values (2.5 or 3). High-temperature mechanical behavior of polycrystalline yttrium-doped barium cerate perovskite

The high-temperature mechanical properties of the mixed ionic-electronic conductor perovskite BaCe0.95Y0.05O3-δ with average grain size of 0.40μm have been studied in compression between 1100 and 1300°C in air at different initial strain rates. The true stress-true strain curves display an initial stress drop, followed by an extended steady-state stage. As the temperature decreases and/or the strain rate increases, there is a transition to a damage-tolerant strain-softening stage and eventually to catastrophic failure. Analysis of mechanical and microstructural data revealed that grain boundary sliding is the primary deformation mechanism. The strength drop has been correlated with the growth of ultrafine grains during deformation, already present at grain boundaries and triple grain junctions in the as-fabricated material.Ministerio de Ciencia e Innovación MAT2009-13979-C03-0

Aproximación a una metodología polisémica en la educación para la paz: una propuesta para el bachillerato universitario en México

Este libro presenta un proyecto de intervención didáctica-pedagógica, mediante una propuesta tendiente a la construcción y fortalecimiento de la Cultura para la Paz, en el ámbito del bachillerato universitario en México. La propuesta es realista y busca transformar parte de la realidad del contexto mexicano ―caracterizado en la actualidad por altos índices de violencia de todos los tipos― mediante la implementación en el subsistema de educación formal, de los principios propios de la Educación para la Paz (EpP) que destacan en el subsistema de educación informal tradicional de la cultura mexicana, a la par de la implementación de la metodología científica de esta disciplina. La finalidad es presentar una propuesta integral de EpP para el Bachillerato Universitario en México, que rescata tanto conocimientos tradicionales de los pueblos originarios de la nación mexicana como de las ciencias de la Paz y de la Educación

El aprendizaje de la metodología científica a través de trabajos prácticos

This project analyses the development of the concepts of a complete subject through practical tasks, presented as a small researches. It also addresses project-based learning methodology in professionalised contexts in which each of them is studied for several weeks. We expect the students to understand the dynamics of scientific methodology, not only scientific concepts but also the learning processes in scientific knowledge. Therefore, they will assimilate science by taking part into every stage of the scientific method. We also intend to encourage the application of creativity to solve real problems. The evaluation of the students focuses on basic skills and is based on the achievement of evaluation indicators instead of exams.Este proyecto analiza el desarrollo de los contenidos de una asignatura completa a partir de trabajos prácticos planteados como pequeñas investigaciones. Se abordan desde una metodología por proyectos, presentando los trabajos dentro de contextos profesionalizados, cada uno de los cuales se trabaja durante varias semanas. Se pretendía así que los alumnos interiorizasen la dinámica de la metodología científica, que además de aprender ciencia aprendiesen también a hacer ciencia, participando en todas las fases del método científico. Se pretendía también potenciar la creatividad y su aplicación a la resolución de problemas reales. La evaluación de los alumnos se realizó por competencias básicas, sin exámenes, sino en base a la consecución de indicadores objetivos

Influence of the milling parameters on the mechanical work intensity in planetary mills

The formation of ZnSe via a mechanically-induced self-sustaining reaction (MSR) from a Zn/Se mixture showed that only size reduction and mixing of the reactants without product formation occurred during the induction period prior to ignition. Therefore, all mechanical energy supplied by the planetary mill during this time, called the ignition time (t ig), was used exclusively in the activation of the reactants. This system was chosen to study the dependence of t ig on the main parameters characterising the milling intensity of planetary mills. The variation of the ignition time with the process conditions reflected changes in the mechanical dose rate of the planetary mill. A direct relationship between the inverse of the ignition time and the power of the planetary mill was established, which allows the validation of theoretical models proposed in the literature for the energy transfer in milling devices and the comparison of milling equipment efficienciesCSIC No. 2009SK0002Gobierno de España No. MAT2011-2298
